& More

Although mice may live up to two and a half years in captivity, the average mouse in the wild lives only about four months

My last place of residence had a visible mouse issue. I once followed a mouse down the hall to the wash-a-machine, I once stumbled across a mouse as I was entering the bathroom for a shower,  I even discovered a mouse relaxing on my bed; what a visible mouse issue. While it may not be scientific deduction, from what I could discern, it appeared to be the same mouse in all three cases. None of my roommates saw this mouse mind you. So like any victim, I asked: why me? Continue reading here.

Read His Story!

Some say that James’s oak tree pre-dated the city’s first train Station, the one opened by the Grand Trunk Railway back in 1858. Others rumor that the tree was just one of those twenty or thirty year-old potted saplings, grown uncivilized. Regardless of what those “some” or “others” declare, it’s certain that the oak tree James Tunk sat in – Monday through Sunday – was the only tree to burst the cement of Toronto’s busy Bay Street. A Decade Top Ten

In case you haven’t noticed, tens and tens of top ten lists have been compiled this month. Most of these top ten lists have reviewed something over the decade (2000-2009) and ranked those somethings from #10 down to #1. To stay “in the game” I have compiled my own top ten list for you to check out. Continue reading here.

Blogoween Story #2

So there was this guy,

He worked as a janitor at a College nearby. Anyways, he was a real stand-up guy; he opened doors for ladies, washed his hands, and took his shoes off when he was in your house. He was that kind of guy but he had this thing where he liked to eat other people’s eyelashes. Call him old-fashioned, but he just loved to indulge in other people’s eyelashes. Continue reading here.

Blogoween Story #1

So there was this woman,

She was a dental hygienist, very concerned with teeth. The following is an account of a visiting human looking after a friend or relative’s dog in the dog’s home. It occurs on an unspecified date between the hours of 6:00am and 9:00am. The account is written in journal format and composed by a fly on the wall. The title for such an account could be, Tracking Canine Happiness: the ups and downs of a dog as measured by a two point rating scale. The journal may or may not be loosely based on actual events endured by this blog’s author. Continue reading here.

Some may say its a complete upheaval of the form but I’m just like, “whatever man.” The new-wave acrostic poem below is about love and honour as experienced during my recent trip to medieval times. Inauguration

I guess all good things must come from a beginning, and today, on this partly cloudy 13th of September, it looks as if this blog has come to its beginning. I don’t want to say much, but I will “set the stage” for your reading and my writing with the help of two quotes. Continue reading here.
